Smoothie July

This month I decided I’m trying to drink a green smoothie every day as my challenge. Amanda over at Run to the Finish held a June smoothie challenge but I could not commit.  This month, I am doing a good job with it.  I also got into the habit of giving the kids a smoothie every night with dinner. They love them!

 

My go to green recipe:

1/2 or 1 frozen banana
1 c almond milk
1 c fresh spinach leaves

optional add ins – oatmeal (gives it a nice taste), almonds or cashews, amazing grass powder, frozen berries or mango, vanilla protein powder

 

What is your favorite smoothie recipe?

This is one of Angela’s smoothies – cookie dough blizzard – over at Oh She Glows. Yum! I always add in spinach because you can’t taste it!

    My go to smoothie is very similar to yours- usually yogurt, almond milk, banana and blueberries with spinach. Lately I’ve been adding chocolate protein powder to it as well. That cookie dough blizzard looks SO good!!

  2. I’m on a smoothie kick too! I just made a smoothie in a bowl for breakfast today – almond milk, frozen banana, PB, cinnamon topped off with grape nuts and fresh blueberries. Delicious!

  3. I love using Almond Coconut milk in mine too!!! LOVE smoothies!!!

  4. I make lots of green smoothies…but I usually make them super complicated. I tried your almond milk, banana, and spinach combo and love it! I’ve had for three days in a row now!
