A new pair of shoes arrived at my doorstep this week from the Mezamashii Project - Mizuno Wave Riders, in funky colors! I wasn’t sure of the colors when I saw them on the website but they are spunky! I posted them on my facebook site too! They are lightweight and neutral. I love new shoes!
I also wanted to share about the new Clif Builder’s protein Mini bars!! I was sent these by Clif to try out but the opinions are my own. Clif Builder Bars come in at 20g protein and 270 calories – great if you have just done a 15-20 mile run and need to replenish and get a large amount of protein, but otherwise, pretty high in calories and 20g of sugar. They have created a snack size bar which is half the size of the normal bar, 10g of protein as you can see on the package and 135 calories. It is still high in sugar, which I don’t love, but I love it for a post-workout snack. I like the chocolate mint – takes like a candy bar – better than the peanut butter flavor – more like cardboard. Have you tried them? What flavor do you like the best?
This week I had to tone it down. I’m happy to be doing anything at all. But – I like doing everything hard core, so it has been a challenge to take it easy as I try to get some relief for my back (S.I. joint). I took 2 yoga classes and plan to continue to do yoga twice a week until I recover.
Monday – yoga and swim 30 min
Tuesday – circuit and run 30 min
Wednesday – yoga and swim 30 min
Thursday – spin 30 minutes, circuit 15 min
I had a stomach bug on Thursday and barely made it through that workout then spent the majority of the day on the couch
Friday – off – no food =no energy!
Saturday – run 45 minutes and stretching
Sunday – easy running and circuit
I’ll be happy once I’m back into the routine!
