Day 2! Lost 1.2 lbs from yesterday – probably because I feel I am eating NOTHING! I’m starving. I’m used to eating between meals and not eating big meals, just grazing. Which I guess isn’t good for me anyway. My body is adjusting. Here is my day 2:
I wasn’t starving when I woke up (6am). I drank my lemon water, and a cup of detox tea, and by 7am I was famished. So hungry!! I ate almost a whole cup of flaxseed granola (stuff makes me gag actually and all the seeds get stuck in your teeth). I felt like I had to chase that down. I let the kids try it (they asked) and they spit it out immediately. Mmmm. A couple hours later, even though 1 cup of flaxseeds is close to 800 calories!!!, I felt hungry. And by lunchtime I had drank all my water allotment. (plus another cup of tea). Ugh!! I ended up eating half a pear in the morning. For lunch, the broccoli made me want to gag (steamed broccoli with orange infused olive oil) and carrot ginger soup with sunflower seeds. Also, a mixed green salad (I used spinach) with 1/2 apple and 1/4 avocado. I ate 1/2 the avocado. You’re getting plenty of fat following the plan, and my body is probably adapting to the lack of sugar. I feel like the calories are not super low.
Snack was to be 8 almonds and a pear. I had already eaten the pear and I probably had close to double the number of almonds and more tea… I felt more full then and like I could make it to dinner. Geesh!
Dinner – more sauteed kale and veggies and coco sace with 1 cup brown rice and pumpkin seeds. Beet/carrot salad with sunflower seeds. I haven’t made the beet/carrot salad either night, just ran out of time. It would probably help me stay full.
Overall, I feel like you should be able to eat more fruit – apples or pears whenever you want. No morning snack and nothing after dinner has been a challenge and I feel like those fruits before 7:30pm would be fine.
