Thanks for your comments on my last post, which I felt horrible writing but I am documenting my life. Reader Dani left a great quote for me that she had seen and I have been thinking about it – it was “Love the life you live, live the life you love.” Thanks Dani! Wooo – last week was a challenging one, but things are looking up and I know what things need to change! I need more time to get what I need to get done. I get frazzled and crazy when I have to many things to do and no time to do them. I just started a business, so it has been stressful for me! This weekend was fantastic – I felt human again! My goal is to keep this quote in mind and make it happen! It all starts with a good attitude. Positive!
Friday – my sister came home with her boyfriend, I was able to spend time with them during the day and then the 4 of us went out to dinner at night, so fun!! A few weeks ago he asked my dad for permission to marry my sister, so I asked what the plan was – it was hard to keep it a secret! Found out it was going to happen while they were doing a long run Saturday am – love it!! We went to TCBY – grew up with one around the corner, great memories!!
Saturday – So, I had plans to meet up to run a few miles with the 2 of them. I parked my car (and hid in it) waiting for them to arrive. Once they started running, I was hiding behind trees taking pictures of them and waiting for the proposal. I thought it was going to be in the first mile of the run, but it turned out to be after the 8-miles I haven’t ran more than 5 miles in a very long time and I was dying, haha! The whole thing was hilarious and I wonder if anyone called the cops on me as I hid behind trees and ran about 1/4 mile behind them. Finally I lost them – I was cursing! I had to give up and meet up with them to run a few miles, and I was able to find out the plan and still able to get some pictures from afar and be there for it. It was great! What an exciting morning!! Saturday evening I had my first wedding photo shoot, which was really fun too, and then out to celebrate the engagement! And Sunday was catching up on everything.
the best part!!
the beautiful ring!
Things that are looking up – the business is slowly taking off, at a manageable rate. I didn’t realize how much work and money I would have to put in up front and I think it will be good when the kids are back in school and I will be able to have more time to work! I had my first order last month and my first full paying session this month and I’m ready to go full speed ahead this fall and design lots of Christmas cards and birth announcements! Really excited about this new business
