This edition of Friday faves brought to you by “quiet time!” After speaking with a friend about fighting naps, she told me that she stays upstairs from 2-4 and it is quiet time (in your room ) for everyone. Love the idea and I have accomplished so much this week. No one actually fought napping this week because school tires them out, so this means I’ve had a lovely few hours to sit in my room and do things! It forces me not to clean up or start making dinner during the down time.
fave #1 – Scrapbooking! Documenting our lives!
fave #2 – awesome weather!! and one on one time with the little one!
She’s 17 months and I’m thinking about one more to even things out… shhhh don’t let my husband hear about this!
Running for fun and breaking streaks!
Last weekend was the Rock n’ Roll Philly Half – I had a history with this race, and had been running it since 2006! I had to make a decision about running and the streak that morning, and I decided to run half of it and take pictures of the race. I ran half of the race with my big camera! It was crazy! And honestly I would have kept going if I didn’t have my camera with me. Being in a race and just stopping is ridiculous! It was hard for me, but my body was thankful! (I did not train). The streak is over! It did give me motivation to run in November though!
fave #4 new love and setting the wedding date. Congrats to my sis! Reminiscing of wedding planning and first being married – what did I ever do with all the time I had!
CAMELBACK ARC 2 REVIEW AND GIVEAWAY
Onto a review and giveaway for a Camelback Fuel Belt! This is the Arc 2 – all new! Great for medium to long distance running. I used it while at the shore on 3-6 mile runs. It fits just above your waist, really around your belly button area – nicely. It doesn’t bounce around and my favorite part is that the bottles snap in and out. They are really easy to access and put back. You can twist the bottles to locked position so there is no leaking, or keep at unlocked position. There was no leaking for me – no issues. You give them a little squeeze and the water comes out easily. There is also a nice little pouch for keys or something small (but not as big as your phone).
Suggestions – use the thermal bottles so the water stays cold! And make the pouch big enough for a cell phone! Otherwise, I honestly forgot it was there and thought the belt was great!
Want to win one? Leave a comment with your fueling plan – do you use a belt? a carry bottle? What brand? for what length of runs? Giveaway will end September 30th and winner announced October 1!
